After announcing the iphone 17 and iPhone Air generations in September 2025, Apple quietly discontinued several previous product lines, including the iphone 16 pro and iphone 16 pro max.

To date, both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models are still available at some authorized Apple dealers in Vietnam. However, the inventory of these two models is currently limited.
The iPhone 16 Pro is currently being offered at 27 million VND for the 128GB version. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is priced at 33 million VND for the 256GB version.
Notably, the current price is only about 2 million VND lower than the listed price at launch in September 2024. Compared to the lowest price in mid-2025, the selling price of this duo has increased by about 4 to 5 million VND. This price fluctuation is considered quite unusual for a product line that has been launched for more than a year.
Speaking to a reporter from Dan Tri newspaper, a representative of a distribution unit said there are many reasons why the prices of iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max have increased again after Apple discontinued them.
First of all, the supply of these two models is currently relatively limited. Users only have a limited number of choices regarding storage capacity and color. In addition, retailers are no longer under the pressure to boost sales as they were during the mid-life phase of the product.

Another factor affecting the import price of iPhones is the fluctuation of the USD exchange rate. In fact, this factor not only caused the price of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max to increase, but also impacted a range of other older iPhone models.
In contrast to the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, the iPhone Air line has seen a significant price drop due to weak demand.
Currently, the iPhone Air is being offered at a price of approximately 25.8 million VND for the 256GB version, a decrease of 4.2 million VND compared to the end of October 2025 and 6.2 million VND lower than the listed price at launch.
If you “hunt for sales” on e-commerce platforms, users can even buy an iPhone Air for around 23 million VND. This price is currently even lower than the iPhone 17, a model that Apple positions in a lower price segment.
