However, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is equipped with a Samsung M14 OLED panel, offering superior outdoor visibility with a maximum brightness of 3000 nits, higher than the 2000 nits on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.

Camera system

The RAM capacity has also been increased to 12GB, 50% higher than the 8GB on the iPhone 16 Pro Max, improving multitasking capabilities.

Battery life and charging technology

The iPhone 16 Pro Max is equipped with a 4,685 mAh battery, which easily meets the needs of all-day use.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max continues its significant upgrade by offering a 4,832 mAh battery (physical SIM version), making it the iPhone with the largest battery capacity to date.

As a result, the device can play videos for up to 6 hours longer and stream for up to 4 hours longer than the iPhone 16 Pro Max – a noticeable difference in real-world experience.

Not only has the battery capacity improved, but the charging speed has also been significantly increased. The iPhone 17 Pro Max supports 40W wired fast charging, allowing it to charge 50% of the battery in just 20 minutes, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max needed about 35 minutes with 25W charging.

In terms of weight, the iPhone 17 Pro Max weighs 233 grams, slightly more than the 227 grams of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. This means the new generation is 6 grams heavier.

This difference may stem from the larger 4,832 mAh battery in the iPhone 17 Pro Max, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 4,685 mAh battery.

Even though Apple switched to an aluminum frame instead of titanium, the overall weight of the device is still higher.
